Georgia Highlands College Chargers Baseball Team Ranked 13th in the Nation

The Georgia Highlands College Chargers baseball team is off to a hot start in the 2023-24 season and has been rewarded for its strong play by the NJCAA DI Coaches Association, which has ranked the Chargers 13th in the nation. This is the highest ranking the Chargers have ever received in the NJCAA Division I poll.
The Chargers are led by a strong pitching staff that features three returning All-Americans in Jacob Hires, Dylan Reed, and Brooks Buckler. The offense is also expected to be strong, with several key players returning from last year's team that won the Region 17 championship.
Head coach William Lara is excited about his team's potential this season and believes they have what it takes to make a run at a national championship. "We have a lot of experience and talent on this team," Lara said. "We're confident that we can compete with anyone in the country."
