Domantas Sabonis Sets New NBA Record

54-Game Double-Double Streak

Set a new post merger record

Domantas Sabonis has set a new post merger NBA record with his 54th consecutive double-double. The Kings center notched his latest double-double on Monday night against the Philadelphia 76ers with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The double-double streak only adds to the impressiveness of the performances Sabonis has put in this season. He is currently leading the league in rebounds and is averaging 18.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game.

Sabonis' streak is the longest since Moses Malone had 55 consecutive double-doubles in the 1982-83 season. Malone's streak is the longest in NBA history, but Sabonis is now just one game away from tying it.

The Kings will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sabonis will be looking to extend his streak to 55 games and help the Kings continue their climb up the Western Conference standings.
